Welcome to the Training Page for Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department!

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Sevier County Vol. Fire Department to provide superior service to the families and businesses in our response area and by assisting other departments as needed with serving the residents of their response areas. The members of the department will accomplish this through fire suppression, fire prevention, public education, emergency responses, and training. The department will maintain the highest level of readiness enabling delivery of firefighting and emergency rescue services in a safe, competent, and caring manner. It must be stressed that under all circumstances, common sense must prevail.

About the Training Division

The Training Division of the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to aggressive and progressive learning of our fire attack, search and rescue, emergency medical training, and hazardous materials operations to serve the 100,000 residents and innumerable visitors to Sevier County every year. It is our job in the training division to assure that constant high quality training is made available to our members, raising the bar of service to our community. We embody the vision of service over self, and our members take that oath to a higher level through their training and commitment to the department and the community. Co-hosting an annual basic firefighting recruit academy every year, assisting in the Smoky Mountain Weekend training weekend hosted every year, along with hundreds upon hundreds of man hours put into our incidents, our training, and our own people, we are proud to serve the citizens of Sevier County by constantly training and bettering ourselves, to better the worst day that someone might have.
